Final concerts of the Pepperdine International Program

On Monday, July 25th and Tuesday, 26.07. The final concerts of this year’s international semester take place at 7 p.m. in the Hall of Mirrors of the Palais Prinz Carl in Heidelberg. In addition to opera scenes from different epochs, there is chamber music in different casts, whereby my students will play music by A. Piazzolla, E. Granados, R. Pantoja and others in different groups.

Detlev Bork

Detlev Bork has been praised by the international press as an innovative and brilliant musician. He has received various awards, including the ‘Best Classical Musician Award’. The grandson of a distinguished pianist, Detlev Bork grew up in a musical atmosphere, studying the piano from an early age and singing in the ‘Kieler Knabenchor’ (Boys-Choir of Kiel).

Research

Since the 1990s, Detlev Bork has published articles in various specialist journals (Staccato, Classical Guitar Magazine, Gitarre & Laute, Ensemble, Scala, etc.), has been giving lectures and courses at many international festivals and was involved as scientific officer in the new edition of the encyclopaedia MGG (‘Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart’).
